A time you disagreed with your team
Behaviour, Medium
Tell about a real time in the last three years when you disagreed with a teammate or manager about a technical decision. Use the Situation, Task, Action, Result format. Say what each side wanted, what evidence or argument you brought, how it was decided, and what you did after the decision. About 250-400 words.
Examples
Input You doubted a lead's plan to move a job queue to a managed service because of cost. The lead chose it anyway.
Output A strong answer shows you asked for the numbers, brought data (a cost comparison, a small load test), argued in the design review, said you still disagreed, and then led the migration and added cost alerts. The result is a number (cost against pages) and what you learned.
Why It shows a real technical disagreement, argument with evidence, and full commitment after losing.
Input A teammate wanted to skip a code review step on a hotfix and you wanted to keep it. A manager decided to keep it.
Output A strong answer shows you understood the teammate's reason (speed), gave a fact (the last hotfix without review caused an incident), accepted the decision, and helped make the review quick. The result is a measurable time or error figure and the relationship afterwards.
Why The learner can win, lose or draw. The answer is strong because of how it handled the disagreement and the follow-up, not because it was won.
